Terms and conditions
Flagler Scholars agree to be full-time students at the Wilkes Honors College for four years, to participate in four summer enrichment programs, and to live on campus all four years. Flagler Scholars who apply to graduate in fewer than four years (8 consecutive Fall/Spring semesters) lose their status as a Flagler Scholar for the semester in which they apply and all future semesters. They also must pay back the difference between their Flagler Scholarship and the amount offered in their original Honors College scholarship award letter prior to being selected as a Flagler. If they do not complete their graduation requirements and still need to enroll full-time for additional semesters, they will be eligible in future semesters only for the original award amount they were offered prior to their being selected as a Flagler and are subject to the conditions in the original award letter. Flagler Scholars who leave the Honors College prior to completing the academic year following a summer enrichment program must return the monies received from the College for that summer program. In addition, per federal regulations, students receiving federal aid may not receive awards beyond their Cost of Attendance (COA). If a Flagler recipient is awarded beyond their COA, their scholarship may be reduced.
